Victorian Double Snake Diamond Ring

Victorian Double Snake Diamond Ring

C.1897.  A wonderful late Victorian English 18k double snake ring.

The double-coiled snake bodies form a ring. Each snakehead is set with a sparkling diamond. One is the original old mine cut, and the other is a high quality brilliant cut, which is a later replacement. (Only an experienced jeweler can tell.) It's hallmarked ‘London 1897’ and is in fully wearable condition with light detail wear to the snakes' heads.
